My college student is only home for a few days at a time which leaves very little room to get everything done however Dr. Shank agreeded to come in on a Saturday during a holiday weekend to accommodate us. That level of care and commitment is truly above and beyond. The staff is also amazing—friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate scheduling or answer any questions. My child's results exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for high-quality orthodontic care!

We just finished a two-year journey with Dr. Shank. We couldn’t be happier with the experience for our child. From the very beginning, the team was personable, warm, and incredibly attentive. One of the things we appreciated most was his honesty—he never over-promised or exaggerated the prognosis, giving us a realistic and clear plan from day one. Scheduling was also a breeze; whenever we needed an appointment, they were flexible and made sure we were seen quickly. After two years in braces, we had a seamless transition into six months of full-time retainer wear. We are now on a ‘need to call’ basis, and our child has a great smile to show for it. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shank and his office staff at Smithtown Orthodontics. Dr. Shank is thorough, professional and delivers a great smile! He evaluated our daughter for orthodontics while she was in middle school and gave us a tentative date to come back to see him for further evaluation. When our daughter was ready, his office staff met with us to discuss a payment plan that was right for us and the cost was surprisingly reasonable. Our daughter presented with some complications, such as spacing issues as well as an impacted tooth that went sideways. She had to have oral surgery so that Dr. Shank could work to bring the tooth down into place. In the end, when the braces were taken off, our daughter had a picture-perfect smile! She is so incredibly happy with her new smile. We are very pleased with the entire experience from beginning to end. Any questions or concerns that we had along the way was met with kindness and detailed explanations. We were walked through the entire process feeling as if we knew what was going on every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Shank and your wonderful office for a wonderful experience overall! We would happily recommend you to all of our family and friends for orthodontic care!

There are so many things I could say about the practice: the staff is lovely, Dr. Shank is wonderful, the office is warm and inviting, making appointments is a breeze.
